Nathan Mandreger is the Security Manager of WEKA, a private security company, and a certified firearms instructor with a distinguished background in military and law enforcement service. He brings over 12 years of combined experience, including three combat tours in Iraq with the U.S. Marine Corps.
After completing a four-year enlistment with the Marines, Nathan graduated from the Kilgore Police Academy in Texas—earning Top Shot honors for marksmanship. He then reenlisted in the U.S. Army, joining the elite 82nd Airborne Division, where he served in the Sniper Platoon of the 3/73rd Cavalry Regiment. His performance led to his selection for U.S. Army Special Forces, where he trained and qualified as an 18B Weapons Sergeant.
During a parachute operation, Nathan sustained a spinal injury that ultimately led to his medical retirement. Despite this, he continued to serve by working as a weapons and equipment tester for the U.S. Army and training both foreign and domestic military personnel in combat tactics, guerrilla warfare, and force-on-force instruction.
Nathan has extensive hands-on experience in combat environments, ranging from close-quarters battle (CQB) to long-range reconnaissance and high-value target operations. His background includes MMA, boxing, jiu-jitsu, and serving on the U.S. Army Combatives Team.
Today, Nathan is a certified USCCA instructor who integrates real-world combat experience into his training. He is passionate about giving back to the community and is dedicated to supporting military, law enforcement, and civilian training efforts across Alaska.
