​Heather Malin

Front Sight Instructor | Co-Leader of The Well Armed Woman

Heather Malin began her formal training at Front Sight Nevada in 2007 where she excelled in all of the courses and advanced courses she took there. In 2013 she moved down to Nevada and shortly after began teaching at Front Sight as an instructor in handgun and their ropes & rappelling courses. She has the highest rank of distinguished graduate for being in the Top 2% of graduates in handgun, rifle, and rappelling and the first instructor in the history of Front Sight to achieve that rank both left and right handed for both pistol and rifle. Also was the winner of the Front Sight "man on man" speed shooting hostage rescue competition for rifle.

Heather currently resides in Anchorage, Alaska where she is a student at the university and a co-leader of the Well Armed Woman organization Anchorage chapter.  Previous to firearms instructing, Heather worked in hard rock mining industry on a remote island outside of Juneau. She enjoys all the activities Alaska has to offer including backpacking, skiing, kayaking and commercial fishing. Heather is a world traveler and has been to nearly 30 countries.
