J. Isaac Richards

Isaac has spent the past 11 years in public safety, starting in 2012 as a firefighter and EMS first responder in Montana. In 2013, he was licensed as an Advanced EMT and worked for the Powell County Ambulance Service doing first response and interfacility transports for inmates at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge. In 2014, he attended Initial Attack Engine School sponsored by MT DNRC and was certified as a wildland firefighter. Isaac spent 9 seasons fighting some of the nation’s largest wildfires as an Engine Captain, Incident Commander, Fireline Medic, Taskforce Leader, Helicopter Crewmember, and Heavy Equipment Boss. During this same time, Isaac was part of the USFS Region 1 Incident Medical Specialist Program and worked for the Montana DNRC and Alaska Division of Forestry. He was rostered as the Medical Unit Leader for the Phoenix NIMO (National Incident Management Organization) Team from 2018-2019, and Medical Unit Leader for the Type 1 Northern Rockies Incident Management Team #2 in 2021.
Isaac spent many years volunteering on numerous fire departments and ambulance services in Montana, Washington, and Alaska, serving as the Training Officer and Governing Board Member on the Plains Community Ambulance (Plains, Montana) from 2015-2020, Firefighter/EMT on Plains City Fire (Plains, Montana) from 2016-2021), Engine Captain on Fisher River Valley Fire Rescue (Libby, Montana) from 2018-2021, and Firefighter/AEMT on Pend Oreille Fire District 4 (Newport, WA) from 2017-2021. Isaac retired from the Fire Services in 2022.
Isaac has worked more recently as a Bail Enforcement/Fugitive Recovery Agent on the Interstate Fugitive Recovery Apprehension Strike Team (IFAST), conducting investigations, surveillance, apprehensions, and arrests of individuals with felony warrants. Isaac is currently employed by Phoenix Protective Corporation and works in Anchorage, Alaska, as a Level II Security Enforcement Patrol Officer and Patrol Supervisor. He also conducts Regional Security Firearms Training and is a Certified Firearms Instructor, AHA CPR Instructor, ASHI/MEDIC First Aid Instructor, EMT Instructor, and ADF&G Hunters Education Instructor. Isaac is also a small business owner and runs a property management company with rentals and properties in three states, and is active in overseas missions. He has traveled to 26 countries on 5 continents and runs an International Humanitarian Organization that owns properties in East Africa. He is also the Lead Instructor and Owner of 907 Tactical Training Solutions (www.907tacticaltrainingsolutions.com). Isaac lives with his wife and 9 children in the Copper Basin in South Central Alaska, in a large log cabin in the quiet woods with their dogs, cats, and farm animals.
